Our Vision, Purpose and Mission

The Vision and Purpose of The Glorious Church of God in Christ is to deepen the spiritual life among its members so that all may attain the highest state of Christian perfection in this life as true worshippers of God. The Mission of The Glorious Church of God in Christ is to provide its members with a higher moral and religious education, by determining to preach the whole counsel of God and to present a full and holy gospel. The Church shall provide care of the widows, the indigent and disabled saints. It is also the duty of the church to go out in to the world and preach the gospel to all mankind.

Words From Our Bishop It is with great joy and honor that I serve as the General Bishop and Chief Prelate of The Glorious Churches of God in Christ. We are truly blessed that God has allowed this ministry to stand strong for over a century! I give thanks and honor to our Founder, Mother Lula Phillips, and to the great leaders who have served before me — Bishop Sidney Coy Bass, our first General Bishop, followed by Bishop Wesley Allen Wilson, Bishop Perry Lindsay, Sr., Bishop Perry Lindsay, Jr., and Bishop John Henry Grant. Each of these remarkable men and women of God led us faithfully in the way of holiness, leaving a lasting spiritual legacy that continues to guide and inspire us today. As we continue moving forward, my prayer is that we remain united in love, steadfast in faith, and committed to serving God’s people with humility and excellence. May we keep the fire of holiness burning brightly, touching hearts and transforming lives for generations to come.
